PACTV is a not-for-profit membership based organization providing a public forum for its communities through Public, Educational and Government Access television. We provide media training, modern production facilities and cable channel access to promote media literacy so that the communities we serve may exercise their First Amendment Right to free speech.

Video Explorers Summer Workshop 2010

PACTV will be offering a two week Video Explorer’s Workshop for kids at PACTV from August 9 – August 20, 2010. The workshop will be held Monday - Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the PACTV studios.

Topics to be covered include scriptwriting, camera techniques, digital editing, audio, directing, acting, and storytelling.  Students will learn how to create a short film from start to finish using state-of-the-art video technology.

The course is open to Plymouth and Kingston residents entering grades 6-9 in the fall 2010. Space is limited to 16 students and the registration fee is $325.00.  Registration begins on Monday, April 26th at 10:00am at PACTV. Students who live outside Plymouth and Kingston may sign up for a waiting list that will be used to fill the classes if, after May 17, the classes are not filled. Spaces from the waiting list will be filled on a first-come/first-served basis.
